I often find myself daydreaming and thinking about my future runs in the mountains – primarily Western States in June – while I’m on “regular” daily morning runs back home. Earlier this week I had a run with my boys I won’t soon forget. One I know I’ll be daydreaming and thinking about – even longing for – while I’m in the mountains in June.
A nice easy relaxed chilly 10 miler – we sang songs, spotted deer, took a break for pretzels & water from “daddy’s bottle”, and ran under a train track bridge just as a fast & furious train came barreling through … enough fun to make us laugh and cheer out loud! Chilly enough for Shane to want to wear my new Colorado half-buff over his ears (upside down) while Leo prefers to pull off shoes & socks and go barefoot 🙂
